Bern Data Talk: Managing Video Data - Experiences, Challenges, and Good Practices
Video data is becoming increasingly important across a wide range of disciplines, from social sciences and humanities to psychology and medicine. At the same time, managing video data presents unique challenges. Large file sizes can make storage, transfer, and processing demanding, often requiring specialized infrastructure. Video is also a complex data type that can be difficult to curate, describe, and make findable and reusable in line with the FAIR principles. Researchers must navigate questions of copyright, consent / data protection, publication, and the use of material from social media platforms. In this Data Talk, researchers will share their first-hand experiences in addressing these challenges. Join us, exchange ideas – and don’t miss the subsequent Apéro for inspiring conversations with speakers and colleagues! Speakers and Topics To be announced
