TFS - Introduction to Research Data management
Good research starts with good data management. This interactive introductory course provides PhD students and postdocs with essential knowledge and practical tools to manage research data responsibly and in line with national and international funder requirements.
Learn how to:
- Develop and optimize a Data Management Plan (DMP)
- Apply FAIR and CARE principles throughout the data life cycle
- Comply with Open Science and funder mandates (e.g., SNSF, Horizon Europe, NIH)
- Organize, document, share, and store research data ethically and securely
Participants will benefit from hands-on exercises, expert input from the University of Bern's RDM team and invited guests, and opportunities to exchange experiences with peers.
Who should attend? PhD students and postdocs from all disciplines seeking to strengthen their data management practices and meet Open Science standards.
